Write ’Em Cowgirl Publishing About Tricia
Write ’Em Cowgirl Publishing is a small, author-led imprint dedicated to creating family-friendly books that spark curiosity, celebrate storytelling, and connect readers across generations. Founded by writer and rancher Tricia Gardella, the imprint brings together a lifetime of love for the land, family traditions, and the joy of literature. Its catalog spans multiple series and standalones, each designed to invite children and families into worlds of adventure, imagination, and discovery.

The Traveler Series
At the heart of Write ’Em Cowgirl Publishing is The Mouse Traveler Series. Inspired by America’s National Parks, this series follows Mouse as he learns, explores, and discovers the beauty of the natural world. What began as a one-off story—Absurd, Said Bird—blossomed into a collection of adventures that invite children to wonder, “What if?” Through Mouse, young readers see that even the smallest explorer can find big adventures, and that protecting our wild places is a mission worth sharing.

The Gran Series
Family is the thread running through every story in the Gran Series. These books draw on Tricia’s life as a mother, grandmother, and now great-grandmother. Gentle, playful, and full of warmth, the series captures the magic of passing down traditions, laughter, and lessons between generations. They remind readers that the most important adventures often begin at home, surrounded by those we love.

The Claws Series
With a wink of mischief, the Claws Series introduces animal characters with big personalities and bigger adventures. Centered around a clever cat who lives at the North Pole year-round, these books are perfect for young readers with a taste for humor and lively storytelling. They add a playful edge to Write ’Em Cowgirl’s catalog, proving that every creature has a story to tell.

Standalone Books
Not every story fits neatly into a series. The Standalone Books give Tricia the freedom to explore new characters, new settings, and fresh themes. Each one offers something unique—whether it’s a silly adventure, a tender lesson, or an unexpected “what if?” moment.

Books from the Past
Before creating her imprint, Tricia published titles that continue to reflect her lifelong love of words and storytelling. These Books from the Past remain part of her legacy, showing her long journey as a writer and the foundation on which her current catalog has grown.

About the Author
Hi, I’m Tricia Gardella—your National Park Gramma. I've lived most of my life on a working cattle ranch and now on a working cattle ranch in California. Surrounded by my children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, I write for your kids because I write for mine. In my eighties, I’m still chasing curiosity—through stories, programs, and services that celebrate the wonder of our world. What started with a little Mouse, a Bird, and a failed rocket has grown into a mission: to help kids fall in love with the outdoors, discover America’s National Parks, and see that the best adventures often begin with the simple question, “What if?”
